Lucy Smith Quartet "Singing Christmas"
Chicagoan Lucy Smith goes to church in “Singing Christmas,” the singer digging deeply into the spiritual side of seasonal repertoire. The austere beauty of her version of “Silent Night,” the gospel fervor she brings to “Jesus Gonna Be Here” and the imploring quality of her singing in “Rise Up, Shepherd and Follow” explore the meaning of faith. The unadorned beauty of Smith’s work, as well as her inclusion of less-familiar repertoire, distinguish “Singing Christmas,” making it a testament to what the holiday signifies. – Howard Reich Chicago Tribune

Miguel de León "Samba de Natal"
Raised in a musical Mexican American family, Miguel de León remembers connecting deeply to the sounds of music he heard around him while growing up: the radio hits of Mexican artists in his parent’s record collection, and hearing recordings of Sergio Mendes & Brazil 66. In 1985 Miguel made his first trip to Brazil and was enraptured by the people, the culture, and the music. Miguel’s goal is to use his gift of music as a means to bridge the gap between different musical styles and languages, continually exploring and learning about the world of music. To that end, Miguel now releases, for the holidays, in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian – as well as an Instrumental version – SAMBA DE NATAL.

Susie Blue "Boogie Woogie Santa Claus"
“Boogie your Xmas blues away with this upbeat and lively tune, which has been rockin’ the airwaves on national and international stations, showcasing the best of Chicago with a rollicking horn section featuring the Green Mill’s horn maestro Eric Schneider and brass man Jack Gallagher. Parisian guitarist Martin Gioani lays down some swingin’ licks from across the pond, the European Actor Alexsandr portrays a jaunty, life-of-the-party Santa who is a carefree Picador… buffoonishly dancing and charming his way through the holiday with no actual gifts to give but still parties hard and has a rollicking good time, and Susie Blue’s sassy vocal tops it all off, telling the roving story of the jaunty Boogie Woogie Santa. This song will get your toes tappin’ and is a fresh break from the usual nostalgic holiday offerings… It’s lively fun, sometimes irreverent, and definitely merry and romping, it will become your fav Christmastime frolic”. – JM Reid, Chicago Music Guide

Robert Irving III "New Momentum"
High Energy, Hard Swinging, Modern Element with Edgy Piano and Drum solos. Despite the edge, there are surprise moments of quiet dynamic contrast. This album quickly shifted the perception of fans from a younger Robert Irving III as being purely an electronic keyboardist focused on jazz fusion.
